Meeting in person for the first time in over a year
We celebrated meeting face-to-face with pizza. And here's what the guys are up to, including the state of our J45 project guitar.
J45 - Project Guitar Update
Prior to the meeting, Gary, Larry and Tom made the bridge.
Tom and Larry got together to start the lacquer spraying. After spraying a few coats on the neck, they noticed that the heel was not quite symmetical. So they recarved the heel, grain filled the bare wood with Z-poxy, and, when the Z-poxy was set, sanded and resprayed with lacquer. Looks good now.
The edges of the BRL decal in the headstock are visible at some angles, so more spraying and sanding are required.
Previously, Tom and Larry set the bridge position. At the meeting we scraped away the lacquer at the bridge position.
